Okay, how sweet are these?  Peter Pan collars are going to be one of the trends this Fall and I absolutely love this!  Anywhere from shirts, sweaters to dresses, you're going to find these cuties popping up everywhere.  They are so classic, retro with a modern twist on today's wardrobe.  I love how it instantly takes a top/dress and makes it that much classier and feminine.  You can even DIY them, like this Louis Vuitton collar from Honestly...WTF?  So easy and fun to make, there are so many of different styles out there.  So check em out!

Wishlist Wednesday

 

Working at Anthro it is so hard to resist absolutely...everything.  So I try to fall in love with things I know I can afford.  Since it's gotten pretty chilly here, I've been in total soup mode!  Ever since the veggie soup I made last week, I can't wait to make more.  For the Love of Soup is the companion to For the Love of Salad.  How cool is that, soup and salad?  Sold!  Poulet is on my list because I'm always trying to figure out what to make with chicken, I feel that this would be perfect for helping me with my..."chef's block".  These cute little cups, dear lord!! How adorable!! There are others but this one is my favorite....shall we say, Christmas present?

So we made it here!  We went from Summer and crashed into Fall weather...while I was looking forward to Fall, I am freezing!!  You don't realize how used to a warmer climate you get, until its 50-60 something degrees.  Packing tip #1:  Use tissue paper.  I folded some of my shirts and skirts in tissue paper and it kept my things from getting wrinkled!  Travel tip #1:  Hang your items when you get to your hotel!  Tomorrow we trek into Manhattan, you have no idea how excited I am...dinner/drinks here we come!!

While its not fall here, I'm still falling for it from afar.  I'm looking forward to the day I wake up and its chilly out!  Last night I put together these three outfits for today with inspiration from the October Anthro Catalog and I gotta tell ya, I had a blast! I've also been hearing that the "nerdy chic" look is in, great thing I already own a pair of glasses.  Ha ha!  In two weeks, I'll be on a plane headed to chilly New York and the thoughts of wearing jeans, pea-coats and scarfs makes me super excited!  What are your favorite fall essentials?

I finally lucked out and got a day off from work (yay!).  Chris and I enjoyed brunch at a local cafe, which was yummy!  Layering over maxi dresses and throwing a sweater over a Summer dress really gets you in the mood for Fall!  Although it is still terribly hot here, those relaxing, feel good Fall days are straight ahead!  Thinking of all my lucky New Yorkers and the cooler weather they're enjoying, I'll be there soon!
