Life According to Instagram v6

Sorry I was missing in action last week, too much happening and very personal stuff that I was going through.  Lately, I have been have a great time at work and just started reading the second installment of the Hunger Games, Catching Fire.  Did I mention I just got it yesterday and I'm pretty much almost done....it is amazing! 

Chris and I went on a date Saturday night to an amazing place called Si Senor and they have the best pastries called Sopapillas!  Have you ever had them?  If not you definitely should!  They're cinnamon sugar dough and you drizzle honey over them...so yummy!

Today marks one year with Chris!!  Today we went with his cousin to Denny's for brunch then he made enchilada casserole!  So yummy!!  Over the weekend we had a fun barbeque and everyone came over, sat in the sun all day and then had hamburgers and grilled chicken.  It was so nice having the day off and getting to spend it with the family.  How did your Easter weekend go?  Hopefully it was just as fun and exciting as mine!

Day two of a gorgeous day and me being retro with my outfitting!  Ha!  This morning I ripped up a pair of Chris's old pj pants and made this cute little bandana ;)  Then I made pancakes, eggs and coffee...what a great morning!  By the way, if I could sing in a band dressed like this for a living, I'd be the happiest...hmm...  I blame this huge creative juice flowing through me lately, whatever it is, it has me wanting to do EVERYTHING!   In college and after, I was really into photography, I took classes etc and learned basics, like how to develop my own film, actually work my camera on manual and all in between.  I really really miss those days and I really wanna get my hands on a great DSLR....I've also been craving a broccoli/spinach quiche lately, grr...so much to do and so little time!

Happy Valentines Day to all!!  Although I am taking a break this week, I wanted to post on this day of love!!   Today I worked, but when I came home Chris had a planter of flowers waiting for me and a beautiful card that made me cry!  A planter of flowers?  Yes.  The reason is because I hate how flowers die so fast so his idea was we could place it by the window and water it so it'll last longer!  Gosh I love him!  Btw...check out my friend TJ from Mr. Taylor and His Lady .  She had a bunch of readers and fellow bloggers send her pictures of themselves as well as where they were from to show the love!

Happy Friday my dears!  Tonight Chris and I indulged ourselves with a dinner at Carabba's and a Movie, Chronicle.  Which was okay, except the fact that it was filmed primarily in first person kind of like Cloverfield and it made me completely nauseous.  Overall fun night!  I love date nights! Especially date nights where we get to dress up and look super cute!!  Have a great weekend ;)

Good Monday

What's that saying about cold's..."you can't catch the same cold twice".  Well it sure felt like I did.  Sorry for the delay of posting.  Right as I was getting over being sick, womp...womp, the cold I was trying to dump just couldn't let me go.  This past weekend off was much needed!  We went to Tuscon to visit Chris's grandma, it was her birthday and we all brought flowers and paid our respects.  What an amazing woman she was, so inspiring and the love she had for her family is truly amazing!

Sunday was 49ers day!  Now I'm not much of a football follower, but I got behind the 49ers, who unfortunately did not make it into the Superbowl.  Chris's fam was not happy about it, but during half time we decided to hit around some plastic golf balls.  I perfected my swing, which I'm paying for today....ouch...and we had an all around awesome day!  What did you guys do over the weekend?  Hopefully you guys have a wonderful week!!

Wow, I sure haven't posted an outfit photo in awhile!  This was my day off outfit!  Yes, I get dressed up on my days off.  Why?  Because, I love to be girly and look nice.  Even if I am just going to the grocery store to grab recipe ingredients.  Sometimes I don't get dressed up, but more often I do than I don't!  This blazer, let me tell you...has changed-my-life!!  I wear it as much as possible...overload?  I think not.  Mens wear paired with women's wear is beautiful! 

By the way, I adore hot pink nails.  Which I have read that the trend is going to be neon nails this spring.  How fun?!  Tonight's agenda includes making veggie soup and hot salsa because Chris isn't feeling well.  I'm going to add a recipe page to the ol' blog here, so I can share my favorite recipes.  I can't wait!!

I had the day off today, hence the two posts, plus one blog upgrade = feeling successful!  Chris and I decided to take the pooches out for a walk and so glad we did.  The weather was awesome!  After we came back we got laundry started and I pretty much enveloped myself into updating the bloggy. 

How do you like it?  I absolutely love it.  I feel like I am finally starting to get the hang of this thing and getting a grasp on the "style" of it!  Such a relief and sense of accomplishment.  Maybe I can get myself to finally working on those cards I keep putting off...why am I such a procrastinator? 

Oh well, maybe next day off?
