Phone Life Lately
Fun week! Chris's step-sister/niece and nephew are in town visiting. It's so fun having little ones around! We've been playing, coloring, swimming and eating popcorn, not to mention watching Rugrats. Talk about a blast from the past! Love that show! Something about a three year old that re-lights your imagination and makes you feel even more like a kid again!

Trend Alert - Arm Candy
Wow! So I am not much of a bracelet/watch person, but I am really loving this look right now! It's the new summer staple to your accessory wardrobe and I think throwing a little arm candy on can definitely change and switch up a look you already have going! It's pretty much the friendship bracelet all grown up! How cool right? I plan on collecting a few of these myself, but here are a few of my favs that you can nab for yourself!

These are the items I have been thinking about the most so far this week. They all scream Spring and Summer. I've tried the pink Hana Culottes on at work and I fell in love immediately, it was like they were after my heart as soon as I set my eyes on them! So much fun and with Summer quickly approaching or if it's already Summer, like it is here in Arizona, then these are the perfect "going to run errands!" type outfits!
Today was such a long day at work, during that time I was able to semi-brainstorm some new card ideas and tomorrow I will be ordering plastic sleeves for all of my cards! I can't wait to give more to the GROWop! If everything goes according to planned, I'll be coming up with a shop name and even open an Etsy shop...keep your eyes open!

Good Monday
What's that saying about cold's..."you can't catch the same cold twice". Well it sure felt like I did. Sorry for the delay of posting. Right as I was getting over being sick, womp...womp, the cold I was trying to dump just couldn't let me go. This past weekend off was much needed! We went to Tuscon to visit Chris's grandma, it was her birthday and we all brought flowers and paid our respects. What an amazing woman she was, so inspiring and the love she had for her family is truly amazing!
Sunday was 49ers day! Now I'm not much of a football follower, but I got behind the 49ers, who unfortunately did not make it into the Superbowl. Chris's fam was not happy about it, but during half time we decided to hit around some plastic golf balls. I perfected my swing, which I'm paying for today....ouch...and we had an all around awesome day! What did you guys do over the weekend? Hopefully you guys have a wonderful week!!

D.I.Y: Holiday Ornaments
What You'll Need:
Clear Glass Ornaments
Fake Snow
Plastic Foliage( I just grabbed a small ready made decoration and chopped it up!)
A small funnel or piece of paper to roll up into a funnel
Wire Cutters
Scissors
I would say to make these outside or put down newspaper, etc for easy clean up afterwards! Trust me the snow will go everywhere!
What To Do:
Prepare your paper funnel first (if making your own) and pull the tops out of the glass ornaments. Place the funnel into the opening of the ornament and pour the snow inside. I found that the snow started to build up and did not pour into the ornament, so I ended up just trying my luck and pouring it without the funnel, which you can choose to do! Fill snow to just about the middle of the ornament.
Then cut off pieces of the pre-made decoration to place inside! If you are putting berries or any other small piece of decoration, put those in first, then place the plastic foliage in after. I cut the ends off of a pre-decorated garland to make small trees! After you've placed what you want inside, put the topper back on, shake the snow to the bottom and see your finished decorations!! So cool! Some of the snow will even stick to the trees to create a winter wonderland.
I really loved making these ornaments! I can't wait until next year to make more, I think you could use this idea throughout the year, not just for Christmas!! Happy Crafting :)

Happy Friday!
What a gorgeous day! I had the day off and since I felt better I decided to run some errands and then take Mercedes for a walk! I love taking these little pooches out, they and I both love going to the park. I definitely want to make walking part of my daily routine and especially since Arizona has such lovely weather, on a day off it is the perfect thing to do to relieve some stress and get exercise!
This weekend is going to be a fairly easy one! Work tomorrow and another day off on Sunday! Supposedly my parents will be swinging by and Chris and I are going to cook up some Chicken Enchilada casserole for them! How fun? There will also be some card making happening, since I have been putting it off for a few weeks now (tisk, tisk!). Do you all have any plans for the upcoming weekend? Be safe, have fun and see you Monday!

Things I Love Thursday!
I love...Carrot Cupcakes with Spiced Cream Cheese Frosting!!! So yummy!! I took a small break from the blog to spend some time focusing on the holidays and today Chris's cousin Jamie came over after school. We made (from scratch I might add), these lovely Carrot Cupcakes and I cooked a veggie soup!! Everything was amazing!! Having soup on this chilly day was so perfect, it warmed us up and now I have something to bring for lunch to work tomorrow...not bad!
